This website highlights Christine Lee's campaign to encourage the Chinese community to get interested and involved in politics. How the country is governed and which laws are passed affect all of us that live, work and study in the UK.
Through this site we aim to make the government aware of the Chinese community's needs so that we too can be considered and, better still, be part of the decision making process.

| Where Is The Consultation? |
|
At the time of the IAN (Immigration, Asylum & Nationality) Bill going through the House of Lords the Chinese community were promised consultation. None has materialised. In 2006 the Migration Advisory Committee was formed to address English Language requirements and its related issues. No Chinese representative or arrangements for representations of Chinese concerns has been available. If integration is the aim of these Bills and Rules, then surely better communication at all levels is the answer to these issues.
